Study: Real Estate Searches on Google Grew 253 Percent in Past Four Years
NAR teamed up with Google to look at the online media trends of today's home buyers. Click here for an overview of the study, "The Digital House Hunt: Consumer and Market Trends in Real Estate." A few highlights: Buyers use specific online tools during different phases of the home search process and 90 percent of buyers searched online during their home buying process.
Banks/Mortgage Servicers to Pay $8.5 Billion in Foreclosure Settlement
Ten banks and mortgage servicing companies have agreed to pay more than $8.5 billion in cash payments and other assistance to borrowers as part of the federal mortgage foreclosure settlement, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and the Federal Reserve Board announced Monday.
