The Illinois housing market continued to improve in June as home sales climbed 14.9 percent and the statewide median price rose 9.7 percent to $170,000, a three-year high, according to the IAR housing report  released . U of I economist Dr. Geoff Hewings said rising prices signal movement toward a more stable market while foreclosures, long a drain on the recovery, are moving more quickly toward pre-recession levels.
