IAR Event Schedules Available On Your PDA

You can get the most up-to-date detail schedule of IAR’s next event on your PDA (Personal Digital Assistant). Through a free online service, your PDA will be updated with the latest schedule for the next IAR event. As the event nears and planning for the event is formalized, information such as meeting locations and rooms will be updated and added to the schedule. The setup procedure is easy and updates will come automatically each time you sync your PDA to your computer. The only requirement, in addition to having a PDA and syncing to your computer, is to be registered with Avantgo. Avantgo is a service that will automatically download information from websites of your choosing to your PDA. Some of the channels Avantgo provides are the Wall Street Journal, CNN, Variety Magazine and many others.

If you are not already signed up for Avantgo, go to http://avantgo.com. In the For Individuals section, click on Sign Up. Avantgo will direct you in the process of creating your Username and Password and downloading the software you will need installed on your PDA. You can also set up some of the many channels (Web sites) to download when you hotsync at this time.

After you have installed Avantgo software and done a hotsync you are ready to add the IAR site to your channel list. From your computer, go to Avantgo and click Login. This is located just under the Sign Up button. Enter your Username and Password and press enter. On the next screen, click the Edit button next to My Account. Click Create Custom Channel Wizard. The wizard will ask a series of questions that you will need to supply the following answers.
