IAR Gives You the REALTOR Advantage

You need exposure to information, knowledge and resources in today's fast-paced world to be more successful as a real estate professional. You need a business partner invested exclusively in your interests. When you wear the REALTOR logo, you join over 1,000,000 members of the local, state and national family of real estate professionals in partnership.

GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS

IAR has made an extraordinary effort to not only have an adequate legislative program that prevents onerous legislation from passing, but also to execute a positive, pro-active legislative program--one that enables the Association to develop and implement good public policy for the real estate industry. The state association has become a leader in the nation in developing and passing legislation that promotes a healthy climate for property ownership in Illinois, IAR is the driving force in the periodic rewrite of the Real Estate License Law.

RPAC The REALTORS Political Action Committee is a voluntary non-profit political action committee, providing members the opportunity to support political candidates who share IAR's concern for protecting private property rights, the free enterprise system and issues affecting the real estate industry. RPAC allows you the opportunity to have a collective, statewide and nationwide impact on the election of officials who shape legislation affecting our lives and the way real estate professionals do business.

IMPAC The Issues Mobilization Political Action Committee was formed to allow members to become involved in the public advocacy of issues significant to the real estate industry. IMPAC is supported by voluntary contributions from IAR members, and all funds go to support local/state issue campaigns.

Quorum Call The Governmental Affairs department periodically publishes Quorum Call, a legislative newsletter alerting members to pending legislation which affects real estate and related issues.
