NAR: Pending Sales Improve in March But Overall Pace Leveling

Pending home sales activity was up 1.5 percent in March compared to February and was 7.0 percent higher than a year ago, but NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun said the market is leveling off not because of a drop in demand but because of limited inventory. Read more from NAR.

REALTOR® Opposition Sinks Homestead Exemption Effort Last Week But Bill Still Could Be Called for a Vote This Week

IAR's direct lobbying and your grassroots efforts in answering last week's Call for Action made a difference. The sponsor of SB 41, a homestead exemption bill that could harm property owners who are inadvertent violators, decided not to call the bill for a final vote last week. However, the Senate sponsor secured an extension on the deadline for this legislation to Friday, May 3. Read more in State Capitol Report
