Leasing Agent License

How do I get my Leasing Agent license in Illinois?

In order to obtain an Illinois Real Estate Leasing Agent license in the State of Illinois you must be at least 18 years old, a high school graduate or equivalent (G.E.D.), successfully complete a 15-hour Leasing Agent course at a real estate school approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, pass the state licensing exam.

Leasing Agent License Renewal Deadline is July 31, 2016.

Prior to renewing their license, the leasing agent licensee is required to complete the continuing education between August 1, 2014 and July 31, 2016.  Leasing Agents are required to complete 6 hours of continuing education, 3 hours of Core and 3 hours of elective. If the Leasing Agent obtained their original license after August 1, 2014, this will be considered their first renewal and they will be exempt from continuing education for this renewal period only, but will be required to renew their license.
