In this inspirational keynote, Brian will challenge your mindset about growing your business and your online presence. Brian Copeland has built one of the most successful home marketing companies in middle Tennessee since beginning his real estate career, and he’s been featured on popular reality TV shows on HGTV and The Learning Channel.

Using the Right Tools for the Right Price: Pricing Matters. In fact it’s THE differentiator between what sits and what sells. In this session Matt Dollinger will review some of the most important tools that you can use to price, predict and engage your sellers to the current market conditions. He will discuss free (and some paid) services to aid in your next listing presentation or price correction. Matt Dollinger is the V.P. of Strategic Development with @properties in Chicago. His role at the company encompasses many different areas including technology development, overseeing the in-house coaching department, and online business/branding.

Real Estate Property Tax Reduction in Illinois: (FI 1127, 3 hours Elective) with real estate tax attorney and licensed CE instructor Anastasia Poulopoulos and licensed CE instructor Eric Westberg. This course is a comprehensive review of the purpose of real estate property taxes in Illinois and an individual’s rights to appeal those taxes. This course reviews the governmental entities that hear appeals and the process for an appeal. Anastasia Poulopoulos is a recognized leader in the field of residential and commercial real estate property tax reduction. The Law Office of Anastasia M. Poulopoulos, was established in 2006 with a focus on real estate property tax reduction and property tax appeals. Eric Westberg brings over 30-years of residential lending experience and together they present a lively, educational and entertaining look at real estate property taxes in Illinois.

Smartphones, iPads, Tablets and Tech Tools: What REALTORS® Should Know about Mobile Devices: (General Session) A big challenge for real estate professionals is how to evaluate and choose from the extensive variety of mobile devices, and how to select the right combination of mobile tools for the ultimate mobile office. Once the choice is made, it's equally important to know how to make them work best for you. This session will looks at the pros and cons of each device platform, and offers tips, apps and useful solutions for business success. G. William James is the nation's leading trainer on smartphones, tablets and PDAs for the real estate professional. His list of corporate clients include PropertyInfo Corporation, Stewart Title, General Electric, Prudential Real Estate and Kaiser Permanente.

With a focus on the practical and the possible, this is a down-to-earth look at key strategic trends: from the rise of design to the fall of national borders, from virtual workplaces to virtually unlimited information - this presentation will help to put current trends (and fads) into context. David Zach holds a master’s degree in Studies of the Future from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and speaks on trends with innovation and design throughout North America and Europe. He is on the board of the American Institute of Architects.

Legal Issues: Property Management (COR 1616 pending approval, 3 hours Core B CE) with Instructor Lynn Madison of Lynn Madison Seminars. This course is designed to assist our licensees in proper representation of landlords and tenants in residential leasing transactions. Today’s market has created new ‘norms’ and leasing residential property is one of them. Whether you do only one lease transaction a year or are doing them as part of your business plan, you need to know the legal and ethical responsibilities of representing landlords and tenants to not only follow the rules and stay out of trouble but to fulfill your duties to your clients. Lynn Madison is the co-author of the National Association of REALTORS® Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource Specialist and the Broker Price Opinion Resource certifications. She is the 2011 IAR REALTOR® of the Year and a nationally recognized CE instructor.
